| Source file: | docs/05-business-case/phase-2-interim-case |
| Sensitivity review: | Completed |
| Purpose: | Provide the public-facing Phase 2 interim case material for the Granite Borders Landcare session, Industrial Hemp: The Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for Landcaring in the Granite Borders Region. |
This material is based on Phase 2 secondary research only. It does not make a final business-case recommendation and should not be read as a recommendation to promote, discourage or invest in industrial hemp.
Session Material¶
| Page | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Presentation | Unified slide-content and presenter-notes draft for the session. |
| Presentation Handout | Participant handout following the presentation flow. |

Phase 2 Interim Logic¶
The session follows this evidence chain:
| Step | Output |
|---|---|
| 1 | Phase 2 secondary research |
| 2 | Interim PESTLE analysis |
| 3 | Interim Porter's Five Forces analysis |
| 4 | Interim SWOT analysis |
| 5 | Evidence gaps |
| 6 | Phase 2 interim position |
| 7 | Potential GBLC roles |
The central interim position is that industrial hemp is lawful and plausible, but Phase 2 does not yet prove local commercial viability, local net environmental benefit or a promotional role for Granite Borders Landcare.
