International Evidence Note
Purpose
This note records how international evidence should be used in Phase 2.
Rule
International evidence may be useful for understanding mature markets, agronomy, processing, environmental impacts and value chains. It should not be treated as direct evidence for Granite Borders unless transferability is demonstrated.
Transferability Tests
For each international source, record:
- Country and region.
- Climate and growing season.
- Crop purpose and product category.
- Scale of production.
- Processing and market structure.
- Regulation and THC threshold.
- Similarity or difference to current Tenterfield Shire and historic Stanthorpe Shire.
Initial Sources
Peer-reviewed reviews on water use, agronomy and environmental impacts have been logged as background evidence. They help identify what to test locally but do not settle the local business case.
Source IDs: S018, S019, S020.
